Mandate of KVK

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), also known as the Agricultural Science Centre, is an agricultural extension center in India. The primary mandate of KVK is to act as a bridge between research institutes and the farming community, helping to transfer scientific technologies and innovations to farmers and other stakeholders involved in agriculture.

SOUTH GARO HILLS

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in South Garo Hills was formally established in 2017, with full operations commencing in August 2018 after the appointment of its Head and supporting staff. Since its inception, KVK has been committed to empowering local farmers through advanced agricultural knowledge, innovation, and hands-on training.
